If SME general builders and property developers think digital construction is just for the big boys, they’re not only mistaken, they risk being left behind. That’s the message Adrian Wild, founder of Integro Construction Software and its award-winning BuildingWorks design and estimate product, will be sharing with the attendees at Building Tech Live during UK Construction Week at the NEC, Birmingham.
During his session, Adrian will explain that all building firms can digitise their projects and processes. The talk is aimed at general builders, property developers, building surveyors, quantity surveyors and architects looking for significant office-based time savings; efficiencies in building; reduced time to build; capital cost savings and reductions in errors as the project passes between project stakeholders e.g. designer to estimator.
Adrian adds, “If it sounds like you’d need a big budget, a large team and loads of training time, then come along to the talk. I’ll prove just how easy it is to adopt this new way of working, thanks to our digital ‘practical BIM’ software solution. Never before have you been able to get a cost literally at the same time as the plan drawing.”
BuildingWorks is a UK first, and following its launch earlier in the year, already has the ear of government, higher education, national house builders, offsite manufacturers, and most importantly, switched on smaller firms involved in construction.
This subscription, module-based software costs the project simultaneously as the user draws (or traces) a building plan, whilst building up a live Gantt chart. It includes 15,000+ UK-based BIM objects and rates, all regularly price checked. Users can swap objects in and out, in realtime to adjust price and energy performance.
Adrian Wild will be making his presentation on digital construction for SMEs between 13:45 and 14:15 on Tuesday 9th October 2018 in Hall 12 at the NEC Birmingham, as part of UK Construction Week.
