Thanks to the efforts of Lodge Managers, Owners and Colleagues around the country, the Churchill Foundation raised a total of over £35,000 for Macmillan Cancer Support by supporting its World’s Biggest Coffee Morning campaign.
Churchill and Millstream offices and developments all took part by hosting coffee mornings, cake sales, Willy Wonka themed bake-off competitions and raffles to help support the World’s Biggest Coffee Morning campaign. Lodge Managers, Owners and even construction site teams all joined in the fundraising efforts, and at Churchill’s head office in Ringwood a special lunchtime hog roast was provided by local firm Sorrels Caterers.
The money raised will make a big difference towards improving the lives of those living with cancer, helping to provide practical, medical, emotional and financial support.
Ringwood-based Churchill Retirement Living has a special relationship with Macmillan Cancer Support and has raised more than £350,000 for the charity since 2009. It is one of a number of national and local charities chosen to receive funds as part of the Churchill Foundation.
Spencer McCarthy, Chairman & CEO of Churchill Retirement Living, said:
“It was great to be involved once again in Macmillan’s World’s Biggest Coffee Morning. The events are not only a fantastic way to raise money for a very worthy cause but also an opportunity to get our Colleagues and the local community together. I’d like to thank everyone involved for helping us to raise such an impressive total yet again this year.”
