ONE of the fastest growing businesses in Wales, Edenstone Homes is committed to delivering homes and supporting communities as it continues to expand across South Wales and the South West of England.
Magor-based Edenstone was recognised in the 2018 Fast Growth 50 list, following an increase in turnover from £3.8m in 2015/16 to £14.9m in the year ending April 2017. In that time, the company created an extra 40 direct jobs and supported further employment opportunities in the supply chain.
Results in the same period also earned the company a ranking in Wales Business Insider’s latest SME 100.
Since then, Edenstone has continued to grow, recording turnover of £18.3 million in the year ending April 2018. The business plans to increase turnover to £50,000,000 per annum by 2020-21.
Martin Taylor, managing director for Edenstone Homes, said,
“We’re proud to have been recognised as one of the fastest growing businesses in Wales. The Fast Growth 50 chart covers the period up until the end of 2017, but we are continuing to expand and grow. The success of the business is due to the hard work and dedication of the entire team who have helped ensure we meet out targets for growth. Based on current projections we are on target to increase turnover to £50 million a year by 2020-21.”
“We aim to achieve this by acquiring new sites and delivering much-needed new homes across South Wales and the South West of England.”
Edenstone currently has sites in Aberthin, Abergavenny and Horsley and more recently launched a 50-home development in Dinas Powys. The company is also building under the Bluebell Homes brand in Lydney.
Martin added,
“Market conditions continue to be good, particularly for homes targeted at first and second time buyers. We’ve had a successful start to the new financial year, including the launch of our new Bluebell Homes brand at River View in Lydney”
“Bluebell Homes is an exciting concept, offering a new generation of housing with a sense of community. The emphasis is on biodiversity, the environment, technology, health and wellbeing, with homes and community facilities designed for how people want to live now and in the future. The Bluebell concept is already proving popular and we will be rolling it out in other areas in the year ahead.”
“We continue to offer homes under the Edenstone brand and launched The Woodlands in Dinas Powys, off plan in response to demand. Between the two brands we will continue to offer quality homes in the most desirable locations across Wales and the South West of England, while creating thriving new and sustainable communities in which people will love to live in for years to come.”
Edenstone prides itself on being an innovative business and has released its first zero carbon home for sale at Llanfair Meadow, Aberthin.
It’s envisaged that by 2021 Edenstone will have carbon zero homes on every development.
The company is also committed to supporting communities and recently launched the Edenstone Foundation
Martin added,
“A proportion of the proceeds of every home we sell will go to the foundation, with funds distributed to community projects. It means that as Edenstone expands and sells more homes, the funding available for good causes will increase.”
