The Real Homes Show marks record views with screening of ‘bloopers’ video

The return to YouTube of The Real Homes Show has doubled the audience for the first two shows of series two, with over 23,000 people now watching the online TV programme for home improvers.

To mark this accomplishment, the magazine-format show, in partnership with Checkatrade, the trusted tradespeople finding service, is releasing a ‘blooper’ reel, which offers a behind-the-scenes look at some of the funniest moments on set.

Conveying the ethos and personality of Real Homes magazine and RealHomes.com, each episode focuses on getting the best for less, and renovating rather than relocating to appeal to today’s savvy home-improvers. Key themes of the Real Homes Show’s second season include features on improving the home cost-effectively, advice for maximising small spaces, tours of Instagram’s most famous homes, decorating with colour, simple smart tech, and amazing competitions.

The show is presented by Laura Crombie, former editor of Real Homes magazine, with property expert Jason Orme. Within each bi-weekly episode, the duo collaborate with a panel of guests including lady-builder and renovation expert Sian Astley, stylist Anna Morley, and Instagram influencers such as Lisa Dawson and Amy Wilson from This Style Rocks.

Presenter Laura Crombie says, ‘The huge increase in viewers proves just how much of an appetite there is in the UK for creating homes we truly love to live in, however much we have to spend. Whether you’re midway through a major renovation project, want a quick decorating update, or the lowdown on smart home tech, we’ve got it covered in The Real Homes Show.

Sealing Real Homes’ reputation as the UK’s most vigorous and influential home media brand, the new show series emphasises Future Plc’s dedication to investing in Real Homes as a pioneering cross-platform brand.

This commitment was established with the launch of Realhomes.com in 2018, resulting in the platform becoming Britain’s rapidly-expanding homes website, rising 222 per cent annually in July exclusively and recently reaching one million unique browsers on a rolling 30-day basis according to Google analytics. Additionally, the revamp of Real Homes print edition, which enjoyed a circulation increase as a result of the recent ABC release for the January-December 2018 period; as well as the launch of online series The Real Homes Show in April of this year.

Paul Newman, brand director of Home Interest at Future Plc, says: ‘The surge in viewing figures at the start of our second series shows the rising influence of the Real Homes brand across all the key media channels. Our strategy of creating high-quality and entertaining homes content for our audience and giving it to them wherever and however they want to consume it, is paying off in increasing engagement in video, online and in print.’
