Grand Designs Live, proudly sponsored by Anglian Home Improvements, will return to Birmingham’s NEC from 6 – 10 October 2021. This inspirational event promises to break through the conventional limitations in home building to offer visitors the chance to discover the very latest revolutions in home design, build, renovation and decor, explore current trends, find new products and discover brands not yet seen on the high street.
Based around the hugely popular Channel 4 TV series, and hosted by design authority Kevin McCloud, the event will be filled with exciting exhibitors, spanning an array of different sectors: Build, Kitchens and Bathrooms, Gardens and Interiors, along with exciting and exclusive talks, seminars and demonstrations from experts across the industries.
Visitors can check out eco innovations from Kevin’s Green Heroes, sponsored by Reynaers at home; comprising of eleven ground-breaking brands that are changing the landscape of design, build and interiors. Each brand is specially curated by Kevin McCloud himself and supported by Grand Designs Live and Reynaers as the kind of green-minded and design-friendly innovation that Kevin and Grand Designs Live choose to champion.
For home-renovation inspiration, visitors will delight in the brand-new feature; The Great British Box Room Competition sponsored by Crown Paints. Six interior designers will take on 6 installation spaces designing the best use for one of the smallest rooms in any house: the quintessential ‘box room’, transforming it into one of most useful rooms in the home.
Across the show’s sectors innovators in design and product abound with exciting chance for visitors to get involved, The Sleep Quality Experiment will be at Grand Designs Live. By taking part in the experiment visitors to Grand Designs Live Birmingham will after a blind test, learn their most and least favourite mattresses, and a few lucky participants will then be gifted the mattress of their choice, as a reward for taking part!

Grand Build will showcase products to advance every project, from adding an extension to an existing home to renovating a period property or building a ‘Grand Design’ of your own. Ground-breaking design and production service Built & Spaces will be outing their modern methods of construction to build a steel frame home at Grand Designs Live. Grand Interiors will offer stylish ways to finish a home, from furnishings to décor and beyond. For finishing touches to any room, visitors and find luxury blinds, curtains and shutters from Thomas Sanderson, while Uropa Design Agencies who represent a range of established and unique furniture companies will also be at Grand Designs Live, showcasing high-quality, unique, impeccably detailed, comfortable and durably designed furniture for sophisticated, trend-following customers. Another interiors highlight, not to be missed, is MedicAir, the market leader in delivering medical grade air purification to healthcare facilities, offices and homes.
Grand Kitchens & Bathrooms will offer some of the most pioneering kitchens and appliances on the market from the likes of Northgate Kitchens and Tudor Kicthens. At the Grand Theatre, sponsored by sponsored by ABC Warranty, garden lovers can discover the ‘The Ultimate Garden Accessory’, with Kunle Barker and hear from award winning Garden Designer Manoj Malde, on how to ‘Get Creative Colour’ in the garden.
