With a stellar line up of speakers offering in-depth technical analysis in an extensive range of Offsite Masterclasses and Spotlight on Offsite sessions, together with over 130 exhibitors from across the UK showcasing pioneering offsite systems and services – there was certainly a buzz in the air at Offsite Expo. Taking place at the Coventry Building Society Arena on 19-20 September, as the first day comes to a close – feedback has been universally positive.
Chris Oldham senior policy and programme manager, City of London Corporation and project lead for the skills for a sustainable skyline task force, said of the event:
“I’m here to meet likeminded people who are all about sustainability and innovation and looking forward to growing my personal network. There have been a varied and engaging set of speakers with some real innovators and collaborators in the room. Very impressed so far.”
Now in its fourth year, organisers of the event are said to be totally honoured that Offsite Expo 2023 is on-track to attract over 4,000 delegates across the two days of the event.
Julie Williams, business development director from Offsite Expo, said:
“We have been overwhelmed by not only the feedback from our first day but also the enthusiasm of all those taking part. As the first specialist event of its kind, Offsite Expo has played an instrumental part in driving transformational change in the built environment. Now in its fourth year, the construction industry is not only embracing factory-based build methods, but the government is mandating its use in public sector projects.”
From innovation in structural timber and precast concrete to buildings safety and fire protection, experts in the field took part in a full range of CPD-accredited Offsite Masterclasses. Through panel discussions and presentations, Spotlight on Offsite featured some of the most prominent Women in Construction, Designing for Offsite, just how Digital Construction is transforming the design and build process, together with shining a spotlight on International Innovation – and that is just on day one.
