The Physiological Society offices, Farringdon

The Physiological Society needed to merge two offices into one at their new building in Farringdon. Peldon Rose had to keep their long-term charitable goals in mind, creating a modern vibrant feel, without losing the gravitas of their 100-plus years of achievements.

The Society’s historical journals are a strong part of their history, so Peldon Rose absolutely had to create a space to proudly showcase these important documents. Next came a new auditorium and flexible meeting spaces where they can host all manner of meetings, from small scientific gatherings to lectures to large-scale council and committee meetings. And Peldon Rose installed special acoustic panels in the lecture room.

With six floors to navigate, Peldon Rose re-modelled the lift to allow seamless movement. And they designed, specified and installed a brand new heating, cooling and ventilation system just for this building. There’s also a new kitchen area for staff that’s flexible enough to hold more external functions.
