Barratt London, leading housebuilder and developer behind the Catford Green scheme, has announced the winners of a new card design competition – in partnership with St Dunstan’s College.
Pupils of the school were tasked with designing ‘welcome to your new home’ cards for the residents set to move into the remaining 92 homes at the Catford Green development, located just minutes from two mainline railway stations and the school itself.
Last week saw the Barratt London team travelled to St Dunstan’s college, prizes in hand, to congratulate the winners of the competition ahead of the formal assembly which took place on Friday last week.
The standard was high and although it was a difficult decision, Aleytheia Owoh took first prize for her watercolour creation of a couple sitting outside Catford Green and was awarded a £100 Amazon voucher for her winning design. Second place went to Inaya Rouse-Farooq for her feline at home inspired drawing, which earned her a £50 Amazon voucher. The third prize in the form of a £25 Amazon voucher went to Maia Foster for his intricate design, showcasing all that Catford Green has to offer.
All competition entrants and staff were given chocolate boxes as an additional thank you from Barratt London for taking part.
Pam Reardon, Sales Director, Barratt East London, commented: “Every single pupil of St Dunstan’s College who entered the competition should be extremely proud of themselves. All the designs were just wonderful and despite close competition, it was a joy for the Barratt London team to judge.
“We are delighted to have chosen Aleytheia’s design as our winner, which has now been printed and made into welcome cards for all of the residents of Catford Green. We know that this will bring a smile to the faces of all of our new residents.”
Catford Green is a stylish collection of 448 private and 187 affordable homes in the cosmopolitan area of Catford, on the former site of Catford Stadium. The scheme is now fully complete, and residents have already begun moving into their new homes.
