Leading Scottish housebuilder, Springfield Properties, has submitted a planning application for an additional 139 homes at The Wisp, a location proving to be very popular with house buyers.
The prominent builder of private and affordable homes has submitted plans to extend their existing site at The Wisp, which has just five homes left for sale. The application for an additional 104 private two-bedroom apartments and 35 affordable apartments has been submitted to Edinburgh City Council.
Set within a 20-minute drive to Edinburgh city centre, the new proposals are a response to high demand for suburban living. A range of different floorplans for the apartments are proposed with each catering for the needs of the modern-day home-owner. The homes feature high build quality throughout and high levels of energy efficiency, which help to keep running costs low. The development benefits from an abundance of open green space and the New Hunters Hall Recreation Park is just a short walk away.
Springfield Central Sales Director, Tricia Malek, said:
“Our initial selection of homes in this area has proved to be extremely popular, with only five homes left for sale. The speed at which these have been snapped up shows a clear demand for suburban properties in the area. Our new proposals will help us to continue to build great quality homes for those who are looking to buy close to the city.”
