The HALO Urban Regeneration Company, an imaginative, innovative and inspirational regeneration initiative, is looking to secure a construction partner for Phase One of the development in Kilmarnock.
Phase One of the project on the 23-acre site, formerly the home of Johnnie Walker, will see construction of the HALO’s Enterprise and Innovation Centre designed to stimulate digital learning, inspire innovative thinking and provide a conducive environment for digital and cyber businesses.
The plans for Phase One of the project include:
- a 60,500 ft2 split level Category A office, with retail space and a café;
- infrastructure works including access roads, car parks, site spine road, footpaths, underground drainage and utilities provision; and
- Associated hard and soft landscaping works.
The HALO is looking for suitably qualified and experienced contractors to submit an Expression of Interest in the site on Hill Street, Kilmarnock, and will only consider applications from firms with a turnover of more than £70m and demonstrable experience of delivering projects of a similar nature and scale.
The Phase One works will be delivered on a traditional contract basis, with contractor designed portions.
Drew Macklin, Project Director of the HALO Urban Regeneration Company, said:
“This is the first flagship HALO project for the Halo Urban Regeneration Company and we are looking to secure a best value construction partner, who can offer demonstrable innovation while providing tangible community benefits.
“We are looking forward to hearing from companies who believe they have the skills, knowledge, experience, qualifications and enthusiasm to successfully deliver these flagship works for the HALO.”
Expressions of Interest should be sent, by 12 noon on Friday 26 October 2018, to:
