WG+P Architects (Waind Gohil + Potter) with Core Collective, who are at the vanguard of wellness orientated, non-membership, class-led gyms in the UK, are teaming up with the London Stand at Mipim this year to present MIPGYM 2020.
This year the real estate event, which attracts over 23,000 people to Cannes, France on March 11th – 15th, will have fitness on the agenda.
Leisure and wellness architects WG+P and state of the art ‘pay as you’ go fitness provider Core Collective will host a pop up gym with Core’s top instructors on the beach with classes running during the three day property event. The classes will support the property charity ‘LandAid’.
The London Stand is a highlight for delegates with its London model, prime location and sea views. The idea is to bring something different to the London Stand and make use of its prime position on the beach, allowing people to get away from the traditional corporate networking and drinking and injecting some wellness into the day.
Phil Waind, Director of WG+P comments: ‘We have extensive design expertise and research in the field and are responsible for delivering some of the most tailored workout spaces yet created, with a wider focus on wellbeing, social interaction, mindfulness and of course, physical fitness. Increasingly fitness is being highlighted in workplace design and being factored into residential schemes. Gym design itself is an increasingly competitive market the design and experience is becoming unique, immersive and mindful. We hope the arrival of mipGYM can highlight this whilst getting a few people sweating.’
